Vail Mountain’s legendary High Noon Lift, also known as simply "Chair 5," which dated back to 1979, was removed following the 2009‐2010 season to make way for a long‐awaited high‐speed quad chairlift. This gets you up to the Patrol Headquarters area near Chairs #4 and #11. There is a huge amount of advanced terrain under here and you can watch people getting huge faceshots down this open powder fields area. You’ll wish it’s faster as people are whooping it up underneath you! Great place to go when it’s not busy and the powder is great! The world famous Panty Tree is here but remember, littering in the National Forest is a $500 fine!
